Saint Gertrude High School Art Gallery

The Saint Gertrude High School Art Gallery seeks to serve students and the larger school community by providing learning opportunities in the areas of art appreciation and professional gallery practices. Throughout the school year, the gallery will mount a variety of high-quality exhibitions of student and professional art work using each show as a format for teaching and public outreach.
Thematic exhibitions featuring student art can be seen in the Art Gallery throughout the school year, showcasing work from the school’s comprehensive offering of classes. These shows give students the opportunity to participate in and learn from every aspect of mounting an exhibition including conceptualization, public relations, installation, event planning and gallery staffing.
The Art Gallery also enjoys a relationship with the broader Richmond art community, regularly featuring work by professional artists and periodically mounting juried shows.
